What is HDPE (High Density Polyethylene)?
HDPE, or High-Density Polyethylene, is a versatile and widely used plastic polymer known for its remarkable strength and durability. HDPE is considered safe for use in contact with food and potable water. It doesn't leach harmful chemicals into its surroundings, which makes it an excellent choice for applications that require a non-toxic material.
How is shipping calculated?
Because our enclosures and racks come preassembled and ready to use with very little setup, the only way to ship is by freight. Rates for freight shipping are constantly changing with the carrier, when placing your order we will collect the needed information to provide you with an accurate shipping quote.
Can you stack racks and enclosures?
All racks and enclosures come with integrated stacking tabs and recesses. For the tabs to work safely and properly the products must be size compatible.
How do I clean the acrylic on my display cases and enclosures?
Use only a very soft damp cloth when cleaning acrylic surfaces. It is possible to scratch acrylic, so NEVER use any scouring compounds or chemical cleaners such as Windex or other glass cleaners (even if they am enviromentally friendly, organic or non-scented).
Should anything ever stick to an acrylic surface (such as an adhesive label or gummy substance) do not use any type of solvent.
Never use the same cloth that you clean other household items with - it can retain dirt, grit, and chemical residues that may harm your acrylic items. We recommend using a new or separate cloth for your acrylic care.
Is it safe to use chalk markers on the acrylics?
It's not recommended. We have found chalk markers can cause chemical attack cracks on acrylics. We recommend removable stickers especially made for chalk marker or a label maker
We have available for purchase, reusable static cling labels to help keep your animals clearly labeled as well as keeping your acrylics clean and clear of cracks.
